5. Pack some warm clothing as well as some waterproof outerwear, as weather conditions in the Gangotri area may vary.
6. Keep all your medicine and important papers in your day bag.
7. Ensure that mobile phones, documents, and other electronic gadgets are adequately wrapped using waterproof covers.
8. Bring enough water for the walking part and ensure you adhere to any local instructions about water sources.
9. Cellphone connectivity could be weak in some parts of the trekking journey, so try not to rely on your cellphone only.
10. Try not to carry expensive jewelry and other valuables during the trekking activity.
11. Adhere to the guidelines provided by local authorities and trekking guides in regard to trails and their movement.
12. The weather and trail conditions could alter your trekking schedule, including the time you visit Gaumukh.
13. Mountain roads could take much more time than expected due to traffic or road conditions.
14. Have some flexibility for your further journey after getting back to Delhi.
15. Ensure you understand the last booking voucher in regard to accommodation, food, transportation, among others.
