Gangotri Badrinath Yatra From Delhi is an 8 day and 7 night pilgrimage tour covering the distance between two major Himalayan temples with several other picturesque destinations in Uttarakhand. Starting off from Delhi, the route passes through Haridwar to get to Uttarkashi and Gangotri. Further, the route passes through Pipalkoti and Badrinath, after which you will spend some time in Pandukeshwar before moving on to Srinagar and Haridwar to get back to Delhi.
The plan of the journey has been designed for those people who wish to visit Gangotri and Badrinath without having to arrange for each of their transfers individually. In addition to the temple destinations, this route will allow you to explore some picturesque places in the different landscapes of Uttarakhand such as the plains of Haridwar and the Himalayan range.

  • Day 1 : (Leave Delhi Behind and Begin the Journey Towards Haridwar (230 kms / 06 - 07 hrs)

    The pilgrimage starts with your pick-up from Delhi based on the predetermined schedule for departure. Starting from Delhi, embark on your journey towards Haridwar which is about 230 km away from Delhi and which will take you around 6 to 7 hours to reach, depending on various factors like traffic. Once you have reached Haridwar, you can take some time to rest. The city acts as the first stopover point on your pilgrim route before moving further into the Himalayas.

  • Day 2 : (Haridwar to Uttarkashi Through the Himalayan Gateway (201 kms / 07 - 08 hrs)

    After breakfast, depart from Haridwar for Uttarkashi, covering approximately 201 km. The drive takes around 7 to 8 hours and gradually takes you away from the plains towards the mountainous terrain of Uttarakhand. The route offers a noticeable change in scenery as the journey progresses through the Himalayan foothills. After reaching Uttarkashi, check in to your accommodation and relax. Keep the evening comfortable as the next day is dedicated to the Gangotri temple visit.

  • Day 3 : (Uttarkashi to Sacred Gangotri and Return (200 kms both side / 06 to 07 hrs)

    Today, proceed towards Gangotri Temple, one of the principal pilgrimage destinations associated with the Ganga. The itinerary includes approximately 200 km for the round trip, with around 6 to 7 hours of total travel time. Spend time at Gangotri and complete your planned temple visit before beginning the return journey. The route provides an opportunity to experience the mountain environment surrounding the pilgrimage site. After returning to Uttarkashi, rest at your accommodation and prepare for the next day's longer drive.

  • Day 4 : (Uttarkashi to Pipalkoti on a Full-Day Mountain Drive (252 kms / 08 - 09 hrs drive)

    After breakfast, leave Uttarkashi and continue towards Pipalkoti. This is one of the longer road journeys of the tour, covering approximately 252 km and taking around 8 to 9 hours. The drive takes you through the Himalayan landscape, with winding mountain roads and changing views along the route. Since most of the day is dedicated to travel, keep the schedule relaxed and allow sufficient time for breaks. On reaching Pipalkoti, check in and unwind for the night.

  • Day 5 : (Badrinath Temple Darshan and Evening Stay at Pandukeshwar (101 kms / 03 to 04 hrs)

    Continue the spiritual journey with a visit to Badrinath Temple. Spend time at the temple and complete the planned darshan before proceeding towards Pandukeshwar. The day's itinerary covers approximately 101 km and has an estimated travel time of 3 to 4 hours. After completing the Badrinath visit and onward transfer, reach Pandukeshwar and settle into your accommodation. The evening can be used to rest after the day's temple visit and mountain travel.

  • Day 6 : (Pandukeshwar to Srinagar Through the Mountain Routes (162.9 kms / 04 hrs 53 min )

    After breakfast, begin the next leg of the journey from Pandukeshwar to Srinagar. The route covers approximately 162.9 km, with an estimated travel time of around 4 hours 53 minutes. Enjoy the changing scenery as you travel through the Uttarakhand mountains towards Srinagar. Once you arrive, check in at the accommodation and take the evening to relax. This stop provides a comfortable break before the journey towards Haridwar.

  • Day 7 : (Srinagar to Haridwar for the Final Uttarakhand Leg (127.9 kms / 03 - 04 hrs)

    Today, leave Srinagar and travel towards Haridwar, covering approximately 127.9 km. The drive takes around 3 to 4 hours, subject to the prevailing road and traffic conditions. Once in Haridwar, finish the check-in to your hotel or other arrangements made within the package. The rest of the time you can spend in rest as the next day is reserved for your last trip back to Delhi.

  • Day 8 : (Haridwar to Delhi and Completion of the Yatra (230 kms / 06 - 07 hrs)

    After breakfast, begin the final drive from Haridwar to Delhi. The journey covers approximately 230 km and takes around 6 to 7 hours. On reaching Delhi, you will be dropped at the airport or railway station according to your onward travel arrangements. With this transfer, your Gangotri and Badrinath pilgrimage journey comes to an end.
