Day 1 : (Rishikesh to Barkot Through the Himalayan Gateway (169 kms / 06 hrs 55 min)
The journey begins with pickup from Rishikesh and a drive towards Barkot. The listed distance is approximately 169 km, requiring around 6 hours 55 minutes of travel. As the route leaves the plains behind, the surroundings gradually take on a distinctly mountainous character. The initial night halt in the pilgrimages takes place at Barkot, where travelers get ready for the next day's journey to Yamunotri. Day 2 : (Yamunotri Dham Visit With the Trek to the Temple (34 kms drive & 06 kms Trek one side)
The first sacred destination on the circuit is Yamunotri Dham. From the Barkot side, the itinerary includes approximately 34 km of road travel, followed by a 6 km one-way trek towards the temple. The walking section makes this an active day and should be approached with suitable footwear and adequate preparation. After having performed darshan and the walk, people start heading back to Barkot in accordance with the planned schedule. Yamunotri is the starting point for the temples of four Dhamas.

Day 3 : (Barkot to Uttarkashi With a Change of Base (80 kms / 03 hrs drive)
After completing the Yamunotri leg, the journey shifts towards Uttarkashi. The listed road distance is around 80 km, with an estimated driving time of approximately 3 hours. This comparatively shorter transfer gives the itinerary a change of pace after the previous day's trek. Uttarkashi becomes the base for the next pilgrimage excursion, with Gangotri scheduled for the following day.

Day 4 : (Gangotri Dham Excursion and Return to Uttarkashi (240 kms / 06 hrs)
The pilgrimage continues with a dedicated excursion to Gangotri Dham. The itinerary lists approximately 240 km of travel for the day's movement, with around 6 hours of driving. Once they reach the Gangotri region, they can move on to have the darshan at the temple before heading back to Uttarkashi. Because of the large road journey involved, the entire day will be spent at Gangotri itself.

Day 5 : (Uttarkashi to Guptkashi Across the Mountain Roads (199.6 kms / 06 - 07 hrs drive)
The next section moves towards Guptkashi, taking the pilgrimage deeper into the Himalayan region. The listed journey covers approximately 199.6 km and takes around 6–7 hours by road. Guptkashi is an important staging point for the Kedarnath portion of the journey. After two Dham visits, this transfer changes the direction and rhythm of the pilgrimage as the route prepares for one of its most physically demanding sections.

Day 6 : (Kedarnath Darshan and Return to Guptkashi (60 kms by road & 40 kms trek
Kedarnath is the focus of the sixth day. The package itinerary lists approximately 60 km of road travel and 40 km of trekking for the day's journey, with a same-day return to Guptkashi. This will probably be the most physically taxing day of the trip because the part that covers Kedarnath has lots of walking to be done in the mountains. It is therefore imperative that visitors have an early schedule, wear appropriate shoes and carry their personal items accordingly.

Day 7 : (Guptkashi to Pandukeshwar on the Badrinath Route (163.2 kms / 05 hrs 30 min)
With Kedarnath completed, the itinerary turns towards Pandukeshwar. The road journey covers approximately 163.2 km and takes around 5 hours 30 minutes according to the listed schedule. This transfer marks the beginning of the final section of the Char Dham circuit. Pandukeshwar provides the next halt before travellers proceed towards Badrinath, the fourth and final Dham included in the itinerary.

Day 8 : (Badrinath Temple Visit and Drive Towards Srinagar (21 kms + 165 kms / 06 hrs drive)
The final Dham visit takes place at Badrinath Temple. After completing the temple visit, the route continues towards Srinagar. The listed movement combines approximately 21 km around the Badrinath section with another 165 km towards Srinagar, with around 6 hours of driving. This means that the day has a combination of the spiritual value of the last Dham along with a journey home. Srinagar will be the last stopover before returning to Rishikesh.

Day 9 : (Srinagar to Rishikesh and Completion of the Yatra (119.2 kms / 02 hrs 32 min)
The final morning brings the journey back towards Rishikesh. The listed distance is approximately 119.2 km, with an estimated driving time of 2 hours 32 minutes. Once Rishikesh is reached, the itinerary includes transfer to the railway station or bus terminal, allowing travellers to continue with their onward journey. With this final transfer, the complete Char Dham circuit comes to an end.
