Day 1 : (Nagpur Travellers Join the Tour at the Designated Starting Point (179 kms / 07 hrs 55 min)
Nagpur travellers will be able to meet at the pre-designated location as mentioned in the confirmed package prior to starting the Himalayan tour. Upon meeting with the travelling group, move forward to the intended route, which goes through the state of Uttarakhand. The first part involves travelling through the plains and then gradually moving on to the mountains. Once you complete the intended travel schedule for the day, rest in the pre-designated accommodation. This will allow you to get organised with your luggage for future travel.
-
Day 2 : (Travel Towards Barkot and Prepare for the First Dham (34 kms drive & 06 kms Trek one side)
Continue towards Barkot, an important overnight base for pilgrims travelling to Yamunotri. The journey gradually changes from plains and lower hills to the Himalayan landscape. After reaching Barkot, check into the accommodation arranged under the tour plan and take some time to relax. Travellers can use the evening to arrange comfortable walking shoes, warm clothing, medicines, water and other essentials required for the Yamunotri visit. An early rest is advisable as the next day is dedicated to the first Dham.
-
Day 3 : (Yamunotri Darshan With the Trek and Return to Barkot (80 kms / 03 hrs drive)
Begin the day's journey towards the Yamunotri route. The vehicle takes travellers to the designated road point, after which the remaining stretch towards the temple is covered through the mountain trail. The Yamunotri route includes an approximately 6 km trek each way from Janki Chatti, making this one of the physically active days of the itinerary. After completing the darshan and spending the required time at the temple area, return towards Barkot. Reach the accommodation and use the evening to recover from the day's walking.
-
Day 4 : (Barkot to Uttarkashi With a Change of Pilgrimage Base (240 kms / 06 hrs)
After breakfast or as per the scheduled departure time, leave Barkot for Uttarkashi. This transfer marks the movement from the Yamunotri section towards the next Dham, Gangotri. The road journey passes through the mountain landscape and provides a comparatively easier day after the previous day's trek. On reaching Uttarkashi, check into the planned stay and take time to rest. The evening can be used to prepare for the following day's Gangotri excursion and organise personal belongings for another full day on the mountain roads.
-
Day 5 : (Gangotri Temple Visit and Return to Uttarkashi (199.6 kms / 06 - 07 hrs drive)
Depart from Uttarkashi for Gangotri, travelling through the mountain route towards the second Dham. The journey includes scenic stretches and Himalayan settlements before reaching the temple area. Unlike Yamunotri and Kedarnath, Gangotri is approached by road, so the day's main travel is centred around the road journey, temple visit and return. After completing the planned darshan, begin the return journey to Uttarkashi. Overnight stay at Uttarkashi allows travellers to rest before moving towards the Kedarnath region.
-
Day 6 : (Uttarkashi to Guptkashi for the Kedarnath Preparation (30 kms by road & 20 kms trek)
Leave Uttarkashi and continue towards Guptkashi, one of the important bases for the Kedarnath portion of the pilgrimage. This is a longer mountain travel day, with the route passing through several Himalayan areas before reaching the next overnight destination. The purpose of this halt is not only to break the journey but also to give travellers time to prepare for the more physically demanding Kedarnath visit. After arrival, complete check-in, organise trekking essentials and get sufficient rest for the following day's pilgrimage.
-
Day 7 : (Kedarnath Pilgrimage Through the Dedicated Trekking Section (30 kms by road & 20 kms trek)
Start your journey to Kedarnath from the road access point. Once you reach the end of the travel by vehicle, the next step is to head to the Kedarnath temple through the trekking path. This conventional trekking path involves walking a lot from the point where vehicles can go up to the temple. It is the most strenuous part of the trip for travellers. The entire plan for the day revolves around reaching the temple, darshan, and coming back according to the package chosen.
-
Day 8 : (Kedarnath Return and Transfer Towards Pandukeshwar (163.2 kms / 05 hrs 30 min)
Following the conclusion of the Kedarnath segment, the return journey back to the area of the road connection needs to be started from the temple complex. After resuming the vehicle journey, the onward journey to Pandukeshwar needs to be continued, which is an important place before heading for Badrinath. This journey is kept separate from the Badrinath leg, unlike incorporating both into the same schedule due to their proximity. Upon arriving at the destination, you can rest at your designated accommodation.
-
Day 9 : (Badrinath Darshan Followed by the Journey Towards Srinagar (21 km + 165 kms / 06 hrs drive)
Continue your journey from Pandukeshwar and head to Badrinath, which is the fourth and last Dham of the Char Dham circuit of Uttarakhand. You will stay there for your planned duration and perform darshan and other activities. After performing all the activities on your pilgrimage trip, you will have to start returning to Srinagar. Your journey back to Srinagar will mark the end of the last Dham and will start the concluding portion of your trip.
-
Day 10 : (Srinagar to Haridwar and Completion of the Char Dham Journey (129.2 kms / 03 hrs 11 min)
Start your final day by departing from Srinagar at the specified time to arrive in Haridwar. You will find that the path is moving out of the high Himalayas and into the lower parts of Uttarakhand. Having spent many days visiting temples and climbing mountains, the final road trip marks the end of the planned pilgrim tour. Upon arrival at the predetermined drop-off point in Haridwar, you will have the option to continue with your next mode of travel. This concludes the Char Dham tour program.
