Day 1 : (Dehradun to Barkot and the Beginning of the Pilgrimage (169 kms / 06 hrs 55 min)
The journey starts with pickup from Dehradun and proceeds towards Barkot. The listed distance is approximately 169 km, requiring around 6 hours 55 minutes of travel. As the road leaves Dehradun, the surroundings gradually transition into the Himalayan landscape. The first place where the pilgrim takes his first halt is at Barkot, which also helps him get ready for the adventure that lies ahead towards Yamunotri. Day 2 : (Yamunotri Darshan and the Return to Barkot (34 kms drive & 06 kms Trek one side)
The first Dham on the itinerary is Yamunotri. Travellers head towards the Yamunotri route with approximately 34 km of road travel, followed by a 6 km one-way trek to reach the temple. The walking phase is what makes it a pilgrimage day that requires comfortable shoes and adequate preparation. After visiting the temple, one heads back to Barkot for a night’s rest.

Day 3 : (Barkot to Uttarkashi Through the Mountain Route (80 kms / 03 hrs drive)

Guptkashi is a significant halting place because the next part of the route is that of Kedarnath which is challenging. Travellers may make use of this halting place to arrange all the requirements they will need on their next day’s walk.

Day 6 : (Kedarnath Darshan With the Return Journey (60 kms by road & 40 kms trek
The Kedarnath section is one of the most physically demanding stages of the Char Dham circuit. Day 9 : (Srinagar to Dehradun and Journey Completion (119.2 kms / 02 hrs 32 min)

After getting to Dehradun, there will be a provision for transportation to the railway station or bus stand, thereby completing the Char Dham Yatra.
