 Pangong Tso Lake:- The Pangong Lake also known as the Pangong Tso is one of the highest altitude glacial lakes in the world. It is known for its colour changing water, from blue to red and green. There are numerous of activity options available for you to do as well according to age group. From camping to lakeside bonfire, a wide variety of activities can be enjoyed here. During the winter months, the lake is completely frozen, which is a sight to witness.But temperatures would be extremely cold as it drops around -25 degrees too and roads are not accessible too. Thats why summers are considered as more preferable weather to visit. But even during summers the temperature drops somewhere between 5 to 1 degrees at night and early morning. Kargil:- Kargil, the second largest town in leh Ladakh and possibly the least explored zone. It is situated on the banks of the Indus River. Khardungla Pass & Nubra Valley:- Khardunlga pass is famous for being the highest motorable pass with an elevation of 5359 metres. Every year it is visited by thousands and lakhs of tourists, especially bikers and adventure enthusiasts. This highest pass is just super breath taking and adventurous. This high pass is not exactly a destination but it is definitely a great place for adventure junkies. Plus, Khardungla Pass is a gateway which leads to the Nubra and Shyok valley which is one of the best tourist places in Ladakh. It is one of the most thrilling rides. Moving ahead Nubra valley is next, which is known for sand dunes and  two-humped camels. You can actually experience the Arabian night vibes here. When in Nubra valley, you Must visit Samstanling Monastery. You can either opt for 50 mins or abhor trek or cab. Next is Diskit Gompa, it is one of the main attractions here. It is the oldest Buddhist monastery constructed in the 13th Century. It was inaugurated by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Magnetic hills & Spituk Gompa:- It is one the most touristy locations here in ladakh.  It has been observed that if you leave your vehicle at the base of the hill with the brakes unlocked, it will start moving uphill slowly on its own. Next is Spituk Gompa also. Known as Pethup Gompa, Its the oldest bushiest monastery built in the 11th century. This monastery is the home for 100 monks and comes under the Tsongkhapa order. when you visit the premises of Spituk monastery there is also a museum that has a wide collection of ancient masks, antique arms, other icons and numerous thangkas Buddhist paintings which brings majority of the tourists here. You can visit Spituk Monastery during the annual festival of Gustor. During the festival, one can witness the annual display of the statue of Kali and the traditional Cham Dance as well. Hemis National Park:- Hemis national park was named after Hemis Gompa, the famous monastery of Ladakh. Its the largest national park of India located on high altitude. The park is a protected home for endangered mammals like leopards, Asiatic ibex, Tibetan wolf, the Eurasian brown bear, and the red fox. Apart from that you can find 30 species of fauna and 11 underlying species of fauna. Actually while visiting hemis national park such as exploring Hemis Monastery which is known to be existed before 11th century too.  Royal Leh Palace And Shanti Stupa:- Royal leh palace, is a  nine storey high building in the midst of bustling city of leh. Which showcases the influence of Potala Palace in Lhasa is the famed Royal Leh Palace. It stands with its head high on a cliff top overlooking the spectacular Leh town. Leh Palace has now been converted into a museum which features ancient paintings and relics of Buddha along with cutlery used by the Royal family. Its is usually open from 7:00 AM to 04:00 PM everyday with the minimum entry fees of INR 20 for Indians and INR 100 for foreigners. You will definitely  spend the time life here. Next you can visit shanti stupa which is located on a hill in Chanspa, Leh.  The Shanti Stupa is one of the most magnificent and gives 360 degrees views of whole stunning leh city.  It offers beautiful sunrise and sunset views. there are two ways to reach shanti stupa first you can take the 600 stairs, only if you have enough stamina. But the views get better and better with every stair. Second option is to hire a bike or a scooty its just a 15-16 mins ride in the cure mountains of Leh. 

Tso Moriri Lake:- Tso Moriri is a high altitude glacial lake.  Tso Moriri is also known as the Mountain Lake. The Lake covers an area of 120 KM sq. and is located at an elevation of 4522 metres. It is nestled in  Changthang Plateau in Ladakh. It is one of the untouched and pure beauty in terms of location too as compared to Pangong lake.  Tso Moriri lake stretches about 28 km with an average depth of about 100 feet. The views are stunning, picturesque landscapes and captivating sights will leave you in awe. This place is Laos, the home to some endangered migratory birds. Most of the year the lake is frozen because of extreme cold weather. Summers are the best time since April onwards the snow starts melting. And when you visit Tso Moriri, make sure to visit Korzok Monastery, a Buddhist monastery located in the Korzok village, located on the northwest bank of the Tsomoriri lake. Its a very old almost 300 years old monastery which is knowns as a Buddhist attraction here. By railways: the nearest station is located 700 km away in the town called Tawi. Stations like Chandigarh and Pathankot are the other closest options, but they are even further away. Even if you do choose to take a train from your departure city to any of these stations, you’ll have to hire a taxi, jeep or private vehicle to complete the rest of the journey — which could take up to three days.

By Roadways: the best one for the adventure lovers. The only catch is that the routes are only accessible during the months of May to October, while winter sees Ladakh cut off from most places outside. ou can opt for buses, cars or jeeps or even motorbikes, for a road trip to Ladakh.
